Through this courseware design, we can engage and motivate the students in learning. Thus, students can experiences knowledge and skill efficiently, effectively and appealing. However, before designing the courseware, we need to figure out the learners’ need, defining the learning objectives and find a way to ensure objectives could be achieved. In this modern era, I believed everyone would spend most of the times with gadgets along with the speeding network connection. As for today, we will talk about Computer mediated communication and ESL. Computer Mediated Communication  (CMC) is any form of communication or interaction between two or more people via different computers through network connection. It is basically any communication mediated through a computer. CMC in education (l ate 1980s) has become widespread with the use of Email, Forums and Internet Chat Rooms allowed direct communications in which it implemented for long-distance teaching and learning. Hello and hi, I have been wondering is there any other search engine rather than using Google, internet explorer and Mozilla? Actually there are more. In week 3, we have learnt a topic entitled search engine. World Wide Web (www) is a web tool that allows users to enter keywords and find information on websites contained in its database. For example, if you want to look up for the meaning of a word, you can simply type the word and it will offer multiple answers from varieties webpage. What is search engine? Search Engines like Google or Yahoo uses software that collects data from the Web to include in its database. Each search engine has its own database. So this database is functioning to store references to Webpages. However, it only keeps only essential information of a webpage. It will query the information by keyword. Hello peeps!  In my previous entry, I have introduced what is CALL. As we all know, the technology has evolved over times, so did the CALL. Now, we will look into the progression of CALL, the functions, the advantages and also criticism.  The Evolution of CALL There are three phase in progression which are:- Behaviouristic CALL  ( 1960). I t was used for Audio-Lingual method and the p rogrammed instruction involves repetitive drill & practice . Through this practice, students can learn very quick because repetitive is a very efficient way to remember. Moreover, c omputer acts as a perfect pronunciation model since we can play the audio whenever we want (it does not involve any videos). It aimed to transfer textbooks and worksheets → computer-based application. Assalamualaikum and hi peeps, Last week in the Internet Technologies for Language Learning class, we learnt about blog (take a look at my previous entry) and CALL. Before we go further with this topic, actually I have learned CALL during diploma in semester 4 in Material Adaptation subject. We used application to create questions and to make the learning process become more interesting and effective. We used application such as HotPotatoes, Prezi and Powtoon. Since we studied TESL, obviously we need to ensure this technology is useful to assist the students in learning English language and at the same time they are having fun. However, I only use this in the class and did not have any chance to apply this method during my practicum in school due to shortage of computers and projector. So, rather than using the technology approach, I used my own alternative such as crossword ( I write it down on a mahjong paper) and given clues in questions form written in colourful cue cards...

Blog💋 There are many types of blog such as weblog, tutor blog, learner blog and class blog . Each of the blogs that I have mentioned have different advantages and purposes yet to achieve the same goal which is to assist in language learning. Blogs offer an online learner journal, provide extra reading for the user and encourage shy user to participate without hesitation. So, I believed this medium is suitable for the person like me😄 However, it also has consequences for the user. Blog is the public domain so it can be copied, modified and not covered by the copyright. The class blog is easy to be access by the teacher and learner but it is difficult to do corrections on students’ work. There is also unmoderated comments in which we cannot control the unrelated comment and this can cause misunderstood between the readers and users.
